Dr. Ashley Parsons was born and raised outside of Charleston, West Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While performing clinical rotations, she received ocular disease training at Mercy Medical Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association and the Richmond Optometric Society. In 2022, Dr. Parsons was recognized as a “Top Doc” by Richmond Magazine.
Dr. Parsons has been part of the Grove Eye Care team since 2014. Her areas of interest include geriatric eye care and ocular disease, specifically the treatment and management of glaucoma. She is actively involved in providing the latest advancements in dry eye therapies and has a passion for helping patients achieve the most clear and comfortable vision possible.
Outside of the office, Dr. Parsons enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.
